GENERAL SUMMARY:
Taro Pharma and more specifically, it’s OTC Division, is a fast-growing and entrepreneurial division working to bring innovation and fresh CPG concepts to the world of OTC, nutrition, natural products and beyond. Yes, our core DNA has been steeped in generic RX and OTC products but the OTC division is looking beyond the norm. We are ready to be much more to ensure that we are capturing the relevant trends within our marketplace. A portion of the growth will come with Branded products – some organic and some inorganic. Given this, we are ready to add a new teammate who can help us take our branded product lines to the next level of creativity and awareness. Come build our brands for us!
The Manager, Brand Marketing will serve as the manager of Taro’s current and future Branded platforms. He/she will be responsible for monitoring brand health and competitive activity, coordinating projects and launch plans for new SKU rollout, partnering with the Sales team to create compelling selling stories and participating in business development activities focused on adding new brands to our portfolio.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Partner with Sales team to create compelling brand and category stories to expand distribution and secure new item sell-in. Preparation of selling decks and materials to support sales team.
2. Develop comprehensive promotional programs to help to establish brand awareness, equity and sales success.
3. Manage the development, monitoring and coordination of promotional budget spending.
4. Spearhead initiatives such as packaging, merchandising, pricing, and communication development.
5. Make use of market data (Neilsen, IRI, etc.) to identify new opportunities for SKU and portfolio development.
6. Perform consumer insight research and activity to identify research needs and establish programs designed to meet those needs, including deeper consumer understanding and innovation planning.
7. Partner with label development, regulatory and marketing to ensure packaging and promotional materials are up to date & relevant.
8. Participate in P&L management and monthly sales forecasting.
9. Develop brand briefs and manage content development for websites, digital and social media.
10. Participate in the project management process with cross functional teams and develop and execute launch plans to ensure in market success.
11. Conduct brand reviews, analyze and track product line performance to identify product line improvement, new product and promotion effectiveness improvement opportunities.
12. Performs other marketing management duties as required.
13. Participate in trade shows as needed.
 
THE CANDIDATE
You have 5+ years of brand management experience in the CPG industry, ideally in the HBC, HBA or Beauty space. You have experience working with cross-functional teams, managed complex strategic initiatives and executed operating plans to deliver on financial objectives. You have a passion for brand building, love working in dynamic environments, embrace ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial culture. You are a self-starter, unconventional thinker and never afraid to challenge the status quo.
 
CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED
1. 5+ years of experience in brand management in the CPG industry and a passion for health & wellness and personal care.
2. Strong analytical skills with experience in helping to drive the P&L and working with cross-functional teams - a true "Team Player".
3. Knowledge and experience in working with all mass trade channels (Grocery, Drug, Mass, Natural, Specialty, E-Commerce). Natural experience a plus.
4. Strong fundamental business skills as well as the energy level and "disruption mindset" (entrepreneurial spirit and innovative sensibility)
5. Ability to change information into insights for actionable growth
6. Strong background working with syndicated data such as IRI
7. Energy, passion and a strong desire to build a transformational brand in today's marketplace - a strong "can do!" attitude
8. Ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic, deadline driven environment
9. Experience working on the development of CPG packaging, display vehicles and promotional materials.
10. Experience marketing CPG products via ecommerce and natural space a plus.

Full Time, Exempt (salaried)
